City of Angels Fun Ride

Thank you to the 1,200+ riders who participated in the Volkswagen City of Angels Fun Ride. We would especially like to thank our sponsors: Volkswagen Southern California Dealers Association, LAPRAAC, KHS Bicycles, Pace Sportswear & Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill for making the ride possible. We would send a special thank you to the Los Angeles Police Department for making the traffic free ride through Los Angeles a reality for over 1,200 riders…not an easy task! To our VIP Fundraisers and other donors…another special thank you for your efforts on behalf of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Bloodmobile Fund. We hope to see you all back next year!
Welcome to the home of the Volkswagen City of Angels Fun Ride. The ride is almost here! We have put together a few exciting changes to the routes…for your enjoyment and safety. Thank you for your support!!!
Each registered rider will receive their entry into the ride, full ride support, lunch, t-shirt, and a raffle ticket & finisher medal. As in years past we will have two routes, both with rolling LAPD traffic closures to ensure rider safety and enjoyment (also, to minimize the impact on local traffic). The recreational ride will be approximately 36 miles and roll at a leisurely 10-12 mph. The advanced ride will be approximately 53 miles and roll at a faster pace of 15-17 mph. Registration in the advanced ride will be limited to the first 300 riders.
We continue to support Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Bloodmobile Fund. While we have been successful in achieving our goal of buying the first ever bloodmobile for CHLA, the Maxmobile…more funds are needed to help support the important work that is being done every day to save the lives of children. We are very proud to have reached our goal is to help them buy a box truck, to serve as a much needed support vehicle for their larger blood drives. We also want to continue to help keep the Maxmobile on the road…collecting blood from communities all over Southern California. You will see the new box truck and Maxmobile at the event.
We have now reached a 2nd goal of raising enough funds to buy
CHLA a box truck for their larger blood drives!
